Pesach 2007 RV Trip – Day 15 – April 10 – Going Back Home

We slept well at night and the kids woke up happy. Today was a “work” day, finishing the packing, cleaning up the RV, schlepping to the RV place, unloading, getting to the airport (we took 2 taxis because we couldn’t fit everything in just one) and flying back home. With 3 little kids and lots of bags, everything takes more time, so we spaced ourselves with plenty of spare time.

In the morning I still had time to take the kids to the campground playground to climb and slide a bit. We knew that the rest of the day would be a bore to them.

At the RV rental place things went rather well, but we had to wait until the taxis arrived. We got to the airport with plenty of time and luckily the flight was delayed only 30 minutes. We all fell asleep during the short 75 minute flight and Ron and Orr were still sleeping when we had to get off the plane. Benny was waiting for us at the baggage claim and took us home in our beloved Toyota Sienna. Suddenly this big minivan seemed like a tiny car.

We are now at home, the kids are excited to be back in their rooms and playing with their toys. They enjoyed the trip and now they are pleased to be back in their regular environment.

To sum up the last 2 weeks, we definitely enjoyed the experience. It is hard to call what we did a vacation, as with 3 little ones, you are working very hard day and night. We think that it will get easier as they grow a bit older. Once the girls start to talk we will be able better to understand what they want instead of figuring out their crying.

During the trip we also made up a list of all the additional equipment we will need for future RV trips. Little things to make life easier, like plastic storage racks to organize clothes in the RV cabinets, a normal broom, etc…

We are already looking forward to our next family adventure!!!

Good Night.
