Today was not a very successful touring day. We spent most of the day in the RV driving to the east of Galcier, because we couldn’t use the famous Going to the Sun road. The single lane highway took longer than expected especially when following a double semi trailer up a hill.
We lunched at Two Medicine Lake, a beautiful spot at the southeastern part of the park. The lake had some of the finest flat rocks for skipping on the water. Ron walked into the water for a bit, but the water was really cold.
We continued driving and reached the main eastern entrance to the park. We found a spot along st. Mary’s lake and threw some more rocks in the water. We continued driving to the farthest place allowed for RVs, called Sun Point. A nice viewpoint to the lake and the mountains to the west.
We then drove out of the park and to this campground, where the playground saved the day, at least for the kids.
Good night.
