We spent the day at Oregon Zoo, located in Portland. It was a cloudy day, a bit chilly and we were afraid it might even rain a bit. The kids had a great time seeing all the different animals. It is a pretty good zoo, even though it took us a while to find the animals after entering the zoo grounds. And I finally got to take a picture of a bear.
In the evening at the campground there was a local event for the permanent residents of the neighborhood (there is no gate between the campground and the houses), so we got to hear some live music and see a local firetruck. Orr got to spray some water from a fire hose.
At night, we had a little problem with the laundry. The night security person locked the laundry room while our clothes were still in the dryer. We called and he came back after an hour and opened up for us.
Tomorrow we head to the Oregon Coast.
Good Night,
-Hemi
