The first part of our adventure came to an end today. We returned our RV after 3 and a half months, and drove back to our “home†base in
We got up early in the morning and completed packing and cleaning the RV. We managed to cram all the stuff we have into the rental car, with the three kids and their car seats. I drove in the empty and quiet RV, and Paola was right behind me with the rental car. Although we were only 8 miles away from the rental spot, it took us a while to get there because of road construction.
I was a bit anxious because I planned to ask for a lot of money back from the rental company, for all the lost days and repairs we had. I was preparing for a long and laborious negotiation. Meanwhile in the car behind, Shir was having a rough time and complained quietly.
When we got to the rental place, Shir puked just as Paola took her out of the car. So that was what bothered her. It seems she is has a good radar for smelling big changes or tension in the air. The last time it happened was when we were on the way to the children’s hospital in

We checked into the hotel and then headed to Chevy’s for Lunch. I popped into the bank for some paperwork and then we took the kids
In the afternoon Paola had a dentist appointment. I stayed in the reception area with the children trying to block them from running into the treatment room. Later in the evening Benny came over and watched the kids for a bit while Paola and I went to gather some of our luggage from storage in friends’ houses.
Our hotel room is now covered entirely with bags, luggage and boxes that need to be sorted, packed and redistributed. I hope we can take as few things as possible to
