We spent 4 hours on one particular dune that overlooks a little lake in the park. People come here to sunbath, sandboard (like snowboard), swim in the lake, or just run up and down the fine golden sand. Ron Orr and Shir had a blast. They kicked off their shoes and smothered themselves from every angle in the sand. Paola and I sat next to them and enjoyed the sunny skies, while the cool breeze kept the temperature just right.
After the dune we continued to the playground, where the children exerted the last of their energies for the day. Needless to say, it was very easy for them to fall asleep tonight.
If you are wondering why the blogs are a bit shorter in the past few days, here are 2 reasons:
- we are doing less
- we are preparing for the next leg of our journey later this month, and this includes a lot of research, phone calls and emails, most of which we can only do in the evening after the kids go to bed.
