It rained all night but by morning the skies cleared up. We lazed through the morning routine and then took care of some errands. A quick 1 hour drive north up route 25 and we crossed into
Unfortunately the wind was blowing like crazy, with gusts of 40 miles per hour, so we didn’t spend too much time outside. I took the kids to the playground and then we walked around the ranch looking at the horses, goats, camels, cat, kittens, peacocks, rabbit and ostriches. Hopefully tomorrow it will be calmer, we plan to take a tour to see the herd.
Today marks the end of our first month on the road. A milestone. It passed by really fast and we are all still sane. We have settled into a daily routine which is important for the kids and us. The children can endure long drives patiently (most of the time) and when tired the girls usually fall asleep as soon as the engine starts. We are traveling more or less according to our original grand plan and timetable, yet try not to plan more than a day or two ahead at a time. I think that now more than at the beginning of the trip we are allowing ourselves more “off†days where we are not rushing to pack in too many things at once. So although today we really didn’t drive much or see any major attraction it still was a very good day. Let’s hope the rest of our trip will continue to be as enjoyable.
Good night,
