Clearwater Country Inn and RV
We left Japser today heading west towards
Our first stop this morning was in Jasper, to fill up on some groceries, especially water, which came down to the last 3 bottles. We went to a different supermarket than on the first day, and it was actually not too bad. We even got a baguette. After Paola made a phone call we headed out of town.
We left Jasper and immediately entered
We drove another 10km to check out Rearguard falls, 500 meters from the road. They were nice, not spectacular. From there we had about 200km of driving through mostly forest, with very few towns along the way. Nice views. Towards the end of our drive today we saw a black bear along the road. It always happens to us when we are driving too fast to stop and there is nowhere to turn around for miles ahead. And in places we drive slow, the most we see is a ground squirrel…
We got to the campground in the afternoon and were happy to get a site that was shaded by a lot of trees. We are at a relatively low altitude, inland, which means hot weather. We played outside with the kids until suppertime and then ate outside on our (very) lopsided picnic table.
It is great to see the children developing and growing, although we don’t notice it on a day to day basis. Ron has grown taller in the 2 months we are on the road. Most of the pants that were a bit too long for him back in
Both Shir and Orr are developing bilingual capabilities, differentiating between what words to say when speaking with Paola, and what with me. I didn’t notice what they speak with Ron. Ron usually talks to the girls in English, especially when playing. We just add water food and love, they do all the rest…
Tomorrow we will visit
