Ron was excited today for two reason. We bought marshmallows for desert, and he was going to meet a friend later in the day. We drove a bit over 200 miles inland to the Crater Lake area and met our friends, the Segal family, who drove up from California. It was a happy reunion for all.

Everyone had fun catching up, playing together, and eating a fine BBQ dinner. For dessert, Ron tried flamed marshmallow, but after tasting the slightly burned marshmallow, settled for the standard “out of the bag” experience.

The campground name “Crater Lake Resort” is deceiving; we are actually 25 miles south of Crate Lake National Park. But that’s where we are headed tomorrow.

Good night,
